Bridgeway May Update: Momentum Is Building!

April flew by and was an exciting month for Bridgeway, and we wanted to share a quick update on the momentum we are seeing.  If you've been following us on Instagram or Facebook, you've had the opportunity to meet some of our new teachers. Follow our socials for all of the latest updates!

Here are the 5 Things You Need To Know:

#1 - We've made a lot of new hires!

Over the past month, we have made several key hires across our teaching team, and we could not be more grateful for the incredible teachers that God is bringing to Bridgeway. These hires include our music teacher, Athletic Director, Orton-Gillingham certified specialist, kindergarten teacher, first-grade teacher, second-grade teacher, third-grade teacher, fourth-grade teacher, upper school ELA teacher, upper school History teacher, Spanish teacher, STEAM Facilitator, school nurse, security team, a number of teacher assistants, and more!  We have over 3/4 of our staff in place and closing in on the final candidates for the remaining open positions.

Each of these roles represent another important step toward building the kind of school environment we have been praying, planning, and preparing for — one where students are known, supported, challenged, protected, and encouraged to grow in every area of life.

#2 - Student onboarding forms going out next week!

Next week, we will begin sending online onboarding forms to all enrolled families as we prepare for the coming school year. These will include health forms, academic transcript request forms, and other important student information.

You can expect those forms to be sent to your email next week, so please be on the lookout and complete them as soon as you’re able.  We will follow up with each family to ensure you receive them.

#3 - Classrooms are making great progress!

We are also seeing great progress in the building. Construction has been ongoing in our lower school classrooms, and it is exciting to watch these spaces begin to take shape with fresh paint. What was once just a vision on paper is becoming real classroom spaces where students will learn, laugh, create, pray, build friendships, and grow.  We'll have an update about our Waymaker Campaign next week to share how you can help us launch strong.  A huge thank you for all you are doing!

#4 - Opportunity Scholarship is right around the corner!

A quick Opportunity Scholarship update. We are in the final step of the process and we're as excited as you are to see Bridgeway listed on the Scholarship portal.  Thank you for your prayers as this is normally a much longer process and we've been able to come in well ahead of the June 30th deadline for new schools.  We will send an email update to parents with instructions on how to ensure your Opportunity Scholarship portal is set up correctly. 

#5 - Our school calendar is live!

Our new Bridgeway school calendar is now live! Families can begin viewing important dates for the upcoming school year, including our meet the teacher night, the first day of school, holidays, breaks, special events, and other key moments throughout the year. We encourage you to take a look and begin adding important dates to your family calendar as we prepare for an exciting year ahead.

DON'T FORGET - We have a Worship Arts Camp coming in July!

We also want to remind you about our Bridgeway Worship Arts Camp, coming this summer from July 20–24. This will be a special week for students to grow in worship, creativity, music, and the arts. Registration is open now at bridgewayworshipcamp.com.
