Bible Class at Bridgeway

At Bridgeway Academy, Bible education is not a single class or isolated lesson. It is a weekly rhythm that shapes how students think, reflect, pray, and live.

Our Handcrafted Bible Curriculum

Our Bible curriculum walks students through 35 weeks of carefully selected stories from Scripture throughout the school year. These stories are chosen because they are fascinating, formative, and deeply relevant to the lives of children and teenagers today.

Each week, the entire school focuses on one shared story and one core biblical truth, allowing students of all ages to grow together.

Jesus taught in stories for a reason. Stories capture imagination. They invite curiosity. They stay with us. Our goal is not simply biblical knowledge—but biblical formation.

Every Day Begins With Bible Class.

What Students Experience Each Week

Monday – The Story Begins

The week opens with a teacher-led reading or summary of the biblical story. Students are introduced to the characters, setting, and tension—often ending with a cliffhanger that sparks curiosity and anticipation for the days ahead.

Tuesday – Dig Deeper (Discussion and Understanding)

The story is completed and explored through guided discussion. Students talk about choices, consequences, motives, and meaning.

Discussion questions are intentionally designed at three levels:

  • Our Little Hearts (K–2)
  • Our Curious Seekers (3–6)
  • Our Worldview Shapers (7–12)

This allows every student to engage thoughtfully at their developmental level.

Wednesday – Live It Out (Life Application)

Students focus on one clear biblical truth drawn from the story. Teachers help students connect Scripture to real-life situations—friendships, fear, courage, honesty, forgiveness, responsibility, and faith. Students are encouraged to ask "What does this mean for my life today?"

Thursday – Prayer & Reflection

Students practice prayer as a community. They are given space to share prayer requests, express gratitude, and reflect on how God is at work in their lives. Prayer is modeled, guided, and practiced in age-appropriate ways—helping students grow comfortable talking to God honestly and reverently.

Friday – Chapel

The week culminates in a full chapel service where the story is retold creatively and powerfully. Through teaching, music, visuals, and student participation, the week’s biblical truth is reinforced and applied to everyday life. Chapel is a celebration and response.

Chapel At Bridgeway

Each week, chapel serves as the culmination of the biblical story students have been exploring all week. Rather than standing alone, chapel brings together the story, discussion, application, and prayer students have already experienced in their classrooms.

Chapel is designed to be:

  • Engaging and age-appropriate
  • Rooted in Scripture
  • Reverent, joyful, and thoughtful
  • Focused on helping students live out their faith

Students are invited to reflect, worship, and respond—learning that faith is not just something we study, but something we practice together.

At Bridgeway, chapel isn’t a break from learning. It’s where learning, faith, and community come together.
