Family Interviews

The family interview is an important and meaningful step in the Bridgeway Christian Academy enrollment process. It allows us to get to know your family, understand your goals, and ensure Bridgeway is the right environment for your child to thrive.

Why We Include a Family Interview

At Bridgeway, we believe the best educational outcomes happen when families and schools are aligned. The family interview helps create clarity, trust, and shared expectations from the very beginning.

Through this conversation, we aim to:

  • Learn more about your child as an individual
  • Understand your family’s educational priorities and values
  • Share more about Bridgeway’s academic model and culture
  • Ensure mutual alignment and long-term success

Who Participates

The family interview typically includes:

  • Parent(s) or guardian(s)
  • The prospective student (age-appropriate involvement)
  • A member of Bridgeway’s leadership or admissions team
  • This allows for a well-rounded conversation that centers the student while honoring the family’s role.

What We'll Talk About

The interview is relaxed and conversational. Topics often include:

  • Your child’s strengths, interests, and learning style
  • Previous school experiences
  • Academic goals and areas for growth
  • Social development and extracurricular interests
  • Family expectations and partnership
  • There are no “right” answers—our goal is understanding, not judgment.

What This Is (and Is Not)

The family interview IS:

  • A relationship-building conversation
  • A chance to ask honest questions
  • A time to explore alignment and fit

The family interview is NOT:

  • A formal assessment or exam
  • A high-pressure evaluation
  • A one-sided decision

How To Prepare

No special preparation is required. Families may find it helpful to:

  • Reflect on what they hope their child gains from Bridgeway
  • Consider questions they’d like to ask
  • Encourage students to be themselves

Our team will guide the conversation and ensure everyone feels comfortable.

After the Interview

Following the family interview:

  • Families will be invited to complete the online application
  • Additional information or records may be requested, if needed
  • The admissions team will continue walking with you through next steps

The interview is an important part of determining readiness and alignment before enrollment.
