Bridgeway Christian Academy Welcomes Elizabeth Dockery as Director of Music and Elementary Arts

Meet Elizabeth Dockery

Bridgeway Christian Academy is thrilled to announce that Elizabeth Dockery will be joining our school community as the leader of our K–12 Music Program and Elementary Arts.

Elizabeth brings a deep passion for Christ-centered arts education and a proven track record of building vibrant, engaging music programs that inspire students to grow in creativity, confidence, and faith. In her role at Bridgeway, she will oversee the entire K–12 music program, including traditional winter and spring concerts featuring our elementary, middle, and high school students. She will also direct our Praise and Worship Band and Choir, helping students use their musical gifts to lead and serve.

At the elementary level, Elizabeth will introduce students to a variety of instruments while building strong musical foundations through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. In addition, she will oversee elementary art classes, supporting a well-rounded fine arts experience that nurtures creativity across multiple disciplines.

Elizabeth is an accomplished music educator, worship leader, composer, arranger, and accompanist with experience teaching students from preschool through high school. She has successfully led and developed music programs at several Charlotte-area schools, including Arborbrook Christian Academy, Carmel Christian School, and Community House Middle School. Throughout her career, she has built thriving ensembles, expanded student participation, and led groups to consistently earn Superior ratings at festivals and adjudications.

Her passion for the arts extends beyond the classroom. Elizabeth actively serves in worship ministry as a pianist at Carmel Baptist Church, where she collaborates with worship teams in leading congregational worship and contributing to original music.

Known for creating engaging, Christ-centered learning environments, Elizabeth is dedicated to helping students discover and develop their God-given gifts. Whether through music, visual art, or other creative expressions, she is committed to cultivating a culture where students can grow in both skill and character.

Elizabeth lives in South Charlotte with her husband and three sons, and we are honored to welcome her and her family to the Bridgeway community.

Please join us in giving Elizabeth Dockery a warm Bridgeway welcome!
