SPRING UPDATE #3

Introducing Our New Curiosity Lab AND Our STREAM Facilitator

As we continue preparing for our opening this fall, we are excited to share two major updates that speak directly to the heart of what makes Bridgeway different.

The Curiosity Lab: Where Learning Comes to Life

At Bridgeway, we believe curiosity is one of the most powerful drivers of learning. That’s why we are creating a dedicated space designed to bring that curiosity to life—our Curiosity Lab.

The Curiosity Lab will be a hands-on, innovation-driven environment where students are encouraged to invent, question, explore, and create. This space will feature elements like a robotics zone, a 3D printing area, technology workstations, and a makerspace filled with tools for building and experimenting.

But more than the tools themselves, the Curiosity Lab represents a mindset. It’s a place where students don’t just learn about the world—they engage with it. They solve real problems, test ideas, and discover how their God-given gifts can be used to create, lead, and serve.

Meet Lisa Maples, Our STREAM Facilitator

We are thrilled to introduce Lisa Maples, who will be leading our Curiosity Lab as Bridgeway’s full-time STREAM Facilitator.

Lisa brings over 30 years of experience in education, including classroom teaching and leading innovative makerspace programs. She is passionate about helping students learn through hands-on experiences—whether that’s robotics, coding, or project-based challenges that integrate multiple subjects.

A National Board Certified Teacher, Lisa has spent her career creating environments where curiosity and creativity thrive. She has served students across North Carolina in both public and private school settings and, most recently, facilitated the STEM makerspace program for K–8 students at Calvary Christian Academy.

At Bridgeway, Lisa will guide students through engaging STREAM experiences that connect science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math—helping them make meaningful, real-world connections through a Christ-centered lens. Beyond her experience, what we love most is Lisa’s heart. She is deeply committed to her faith, her family, and to helping students discover who God has created them to be.

We could not be more excited about what the Curiosity Lab will bring to our students—and we are even more excited to have Lisa leading the way. More updates coming soon as we continue building something truly special for your family.
