SPRING UPDATE #2
March 15, 2026
We are so thrilled to introduce you to our new principal!
One of the most encouraging parts of building Bridgeway Christian Academy has been watching how faithfully God continues to provide the right people at exactly the right time. As we move closer to opening our doors this fall, we are constantly reminded that this school is not just a project—it is a calling and a community being formed together.
Please join us in warmly welcoming
Mrs. Connie Braden as the new Principal of Bridgeway Christian Academy. Mrs. Braden brings
more than 30 years of experience in education, serving in both public and private schools across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Her career has included classroom teaching, educational administration, teacher training, and leadership development. Throughout those years, she has built a reputation for thoughtful leadership, strong communication, and a deep care for the students, families, and teachers she serves.

What makes Connie such a meaningful addition to Bridgeway goes far beyond her résumé. Her life has been deeply shaped by Christian education. She was raised in a home devoted to faith and learning, where both of her parents spent more than 55 years serving in the education community. Her father was appointed to the Department of Education as Assistant Secretary of Education by Ronald Reagan.
From an early age, she learned that leadership is not about position or authority—it is about serving others well. That spirit of servant leadership has guided her throughout her career and continues to shape the way she leads schools and supports families.
Connie shares: "My connection to Christian education is deeply personal. As a product of Christian schooling, my professional journey has been shaped by the wisdom and example of Godly teachers and professors. My children and son-in-law have likewise attended Christian schools and universities, where they developed strong spiritual foundations and academic discipline. These principles, along with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, have led them to meaningful and successful lives—both in this world and for eternity."
Connie is also a product of Christian schooling herself. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from Clearwater Christian College, later completing a Master of Education from Cambridge College, focusing on Educational Technology and Administration, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Liberty University.
As we spent time getting to know Connie through this process, what stood out most was her heart. She brings a steady wisdom, a genuine love for students and families, and a deep belief that schools should be places where young people are both challenged academically and nurtured spiritually.
Bridgeway is being built on a vision of something truly special—a school where students grow not only in knowledge, but in wisdom, curiosity, courage, and faith. Connie shares that vision wholeheartedly, and we believe God has brought her to Bridgeway at exactly the right moment in our story.
Starting a new school requires courage, prayer, and a community willing to build something meaningful together. We are incredibly grateful to each of you who has stepped into this journey with us, and we are thankful that Mrs. Braden has joined our leadership team and will help lead the way forward.
We will be scheduling a "Meet The Principal" night in the next few weeks so stay tuned for your opportunity to meet Mrs. Braden in person soon!
With gratitude,
Brian and Elizabeth
We'd love to see you at an upcoming tour!
